Sam Bosco

Samantha is a two-time bronze medalist from the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She is also the 2017 World Champion in the 3K individual pursuit and two-time California State Time Trial Champion in the Women’s PRO 1/2 (able-bodied). Samantha was six years old when she first got on a bike. She was born with a bowed tibia in her right leg and had that part of her leg removed as a young child. She then went through several surgeries which left her on crutches for many years. That didn’t stop her from running or mountain biking and her dad was her first cycling training partner, racing mountain bikes with her in Alaska. Sam lettered in swimming and bowling in high school and earned a crew scholarship to the University of Central Florida where she rowed for two years before pursuing cycling full-time.
