Isabelle Weidemann

Isabelle is a Canadian long track speed skater from Ottawa, Ontario, and now living in Calgary, Alberta. She is the Canadian record holder in the 5000m at both the junior and senior levels and most recently won a gold, silver and bronze medal at the 2022 Beijing Olympics.Isabelle won her first World Cup medal in the 2017/18 season and has reached the podium 17 times since then. In 2020 and 2021 she won a pair of World Championship medals in the Team Pursuit, bringing home bronze and silver. In her Olympic debut at PyeongChang 2018, Isabelle finished 4th in the Team Pursuit and placed inside the top seven in the 3000m and 5000m. She was named Speed Skating Canada’s long track Rising Star in 2015 and was awarded the Catriona Le May Doan Award for Female Long Track Athlete of the Year in 2019.
